Horror comedy. Villain: a sock.

 

The Evil Sock is a no-budget horror comedy from irreverent comedian H the Comedian ,creator of parody TV shows Dick and Gordy and The King of The Thrones. 

What do you get when you combine the ideas of an insane comedian with a $60 budget for a feature film? You get a very funny, very cheaply made horror comedy where the villain is a sock. You'll reel at the 45 minute comedy horror based on the notion that smaller is better. In a world of big budget, high concept movies, this movie asks audiences to watch what a one man production team can do with a camera, a sock and a couple of volunteer actors. 

What happens in the movie? 

The movie is about a Youtuber (H the Comedian) who makes vlogs about packages he gets in the mail and when one of his packages of socks comes up short, he utters an evil spell which brings the missing sock to life and then the sock tries to kill him. His concerned girlfriend Laura (Mandy Lena) and psychiatrist Doctor Turlington (Geordie Smyth) try to help him deal with his new "delusions".

How scary is it?

The movie is comical, but has some horror elements where the sock becomes armed with a sock sized axe and pursues his victim, undeterred by any resistance. He also skulks around corners and haunts the dreams of his main victim, the only one who can see him. 

When is it coming out?

The Evil Sock is unreleased and not yet available to see, while it is being offered to select viewers to review. The film may be available to the public within the year of 2026, but no release date has been set. The company behind the production, Lateflix.com is likely to premiere the film as an original movie on its network. Stay tuned for more. 

Everything we know so far about 2026 Horror Comedy "Masterpiece"

Producers are often tight-lipped when it comes to sharing details about their upcoming films, especially while they are still in production, so here's everything we know so far about Canada's latest dark comedy "Masterpiece" expecting to be released this year. 

In an exclusive interview with the director of the film, (who asked to remain unnamed until the film is officially announced) we were able to gather a few key pieces of info about the secretive project whose title is yet to be announced. 

"It's dark, it's different, it's daring" - Director of the film. 

"Expect the unexpected. Not your typical slasher, creature feature, shoot em up, or zombie movie." 

"That's refreshing" I responded. Though the description vas vague, prompting more questions. "What would you say is the genre of the film? Is it a Horror? a Comedy? a Drama?"

"Yes, yes and yes" - Director. 

Wow! I was sold. This was going to be the best movie ever. With that the interview was over and the director was on his way to the next one. What can we expect from this proclaimed "Masterpiece" of movie cinema? Lots of horror, comedy and drama. When will it be release? 2026. That's all we know so far.
